Who am I?

My name is Marcus Ryan and I design websites! Websites that are beautiful, engaging and most importantly they are accessible. I am passionate about the web and about bringing a little bit of beauty to usability and accessibility.

My aim is to produce visual communication by skillfully blending text, image, animation,navigation and problem solving to create something special for each of my clients.

My skills range from (lovingly) crafting and coding great web standard compliant sites - both big and small, designing and building professional emails so that you can keep your company fresh in people's minds - to print and even come up with ideas which give you a better brand. I work closely with my clients so that we can together understand what the goals of a project are and what their target market wants. Having this knowledge allows me to produce a cost effective solution which not only looks good but is also a powerful marketing tool.

White rabbits

White rabbits started in 2004 during my degree, it was a place to store and show of my work to friends and lecturers. In my second year I started freelancing and white rabbits became a business, as word spread white rabbits went through several redesigns. (After I retire this current incarnation I think I will create an archive of the previous versions.)

Another use of my portfolio website is to serves as an example for clients who have had little or no experience with web design. I use it as an example to illustrate how effective a simple four linked page website can be, and to help establish the idea that web design can be affordable if well planned and designed.
