The London taxi

 

This is a public information site commisioned by the LTDA and the LTI, they used a company called tool kit to provide a template website. Unfortunatly without someone to oversee the design and the direction this site had gotten a little lost. I was brought on board to give purpose and direction changing layouts and content to make this a truly useful site.

My first task was to give people a reason to visit, I decided to concentrate on accessibility information incorporating videos and taxi specifications then intergating of a fare estimator/route plann er app. I then moved on to changing out the stock images to something more apporpiate to the taxi trade as both the LTDA and LTI had a wealth content begging to be used.

Flash sound toy, interaction UI fun

I put this together as a bit of fun, its a projected touch screen toy. For this I made an infa red pen out of an old magic marker and some bits from Maplins, then using a wiimotes infa red camera to turn any surface into a touch screen you can use the pen as a mouse. Widgets, 3D animation

I designed a suite of widgets to delight and inform user about there social networking news feeds, these widgets gather information from your favorite social networking sites and present that information in the shape of you very own little world. The first video shows set up of your widgets choosing colour and where your feeds come from.

The second video is a time lapse video of the widgets in action over the course of several hours, you will see the globes swell as the information comes in and shrink after the content has been checked.
